Clipzone in the Community
We here at Clipzone love to be involved in the community, and the past two months have given us plenty of opportunity! Read on to find out all about the events we’ve been part of.
FAB! (Females Active in Business) is a signature program of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce that Clipzone sponsors. Every month, we get together to hear motivational and inspiring speakers, build relationships with others, and raise awareness of deserving nonprofit organizations.
August’s FAB! luncheon was a very special one—our 4th year anniversary! We welcomed speaker and consultant Dave Kirby, heard about The Animal Protection League, the featured nonprofit, and then had a great time celebrating at Hoosier Park.
In September, the FAB! special guest was business coach, consultant, and speaker Shawn Neal, who spoke about the ways perception affects your life and how you can use this to be happier and more productive. We also heard about the featured nonprofit, the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana.
Planting trees for Anderson Sesquicentennial
We helped celebrate Anderson’s 150th birthday by participating in this great event. Our team helped plant trees along 8th Street. We’re proud to have been a part of this historic event!
United Way Truck Pull
Last week, our Clipzone/Salon Professional Academy team took first place at this event, pulling a Carter Express truck 125 feet in just 20.5 seconds. The teams raised about $12,000 to benefit the United Way, a substantial amount more than last year.
Back-to-School Fashion Show
Clipzone was a sponsor of the Back-to-School Fashion Show, which benefited the Animal Protection League. Talented young models showed off stylish looks and everyone had a great time.
